Duarte Botelho was born in Lisbon in 1953. He began his artistic journey in 1966, studying drawing with the painter Miguel Arruda and later with master Hélder Baptista, preparing for admission to the painting program at the Lisbon School of Fine Arts (ESBAL), which he attended before transferring to the Architecture Department, where he graduated in 1978.
Over five decades, he has built a singular body of work that combines architectural precision with chromatic expressiveness, revealing a unique visual language deeply rooted in Portuguese heritage.
On this website, he explores the potential of artificial intelligence as a creative tool, using his original works to produce digital art under the heteronym ART IN (art intelligence / art inside) and FEEL ART (feel art – digital art).
